Our School Information

Our Programs

We offer full and half day programs for children 4 weeks up to 12 years of age.  Children in our full day program come for 6-10 hours a day, however a child may stay longer for an additional charge.  Half-day children may come up to 6 hours daily.  We ask that children in our three and four year old classes please arrive by 9 am as this is when our most important learning begins and we ask that all ages arrive before 9:30 am so we can plan for lunch and staffing.  We do understand that some families have varied schedules and we are always willing to make accommodations for them and their children if you give us a call.

Curriculum

Curriculum for the week is posted on the information board in each classroom.  Families can also see the curriculum themes for the year, along with the classroom schedule on that board.  In addition, there is a white board that the teacher writes daily activities on. Each classroom uses a weekly theme based curriculum which is geared toward the learning abilities of the children in that age group.

In our infant and toddler classrooms, teachers plan various activities on their curriculum by using strategies from the Infant Toddler Developmental Guidelines as well as other age-appropriate curriculum books to further language development, encourage sensory play, experience art activities, water play, sing and dance, learn finger-plays, support small and large muscle development and allow the children to explore their environment, rich with educational toys.  Toddlers also begin to learn colors, shapes, and beginning counting, and even start recognizing some of their letters in the 2’s class.

In the 3’s and 4’s classes, our academic curriculum has been specially designed to follow the Arizona Early Learning Standards and prepare your child for kindergarten and beyond.  We offer a Multi-experiential, Christian-based curriculum with weekly themes that teaches them about the world around them and  includes Language Development and Phonics, Math, Science, Social Studies, Art, Sensory Play, Cooking, Drama, Gardening, Dance, Music/Movement, Physical Development, Social and Emotional Development, Health and Safety, and Bible stories with crafts and games!

Teachers

All our teachers are required to be C.P.R. and First-aid certified, as well as have a fingerprint clearance card with a background check.  Many of our lead teachers have been with us for over 6 years.  Our teachers are also required to attend 20 hours or more of specialized training each year.  Many of our teachers have either been teaching for over 10 years or have or are working on a degree in Early Childhood Education.

Quality First

We are currently a 4-Star Quality Plus Preschool!  This was obtained through the implementation of best practices and extensive assessments.  Assessments involve having an assessor from Quality First come and observe and evaluate our classrooms and the learning materials and environment both in the classrooms and on the playground and the interactions they observe between teachers and students.  We have been participating in the First Things First, Quality First Program since 2010.  As participants in this program, we receive ongoing coaching, support, training, and teaching materials.  We are constantly learning new ideas and implementing best practices to improve our already quality preschool program and the Quality First helps with that.  They also provide workshops, help with college tuition for our staff and provide funding for child care scholarships.

Meals and Snacks

As participants of the Childcare and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), we are able to provide all children in attendance, a well-balanced and nutritious Breakfast, Lunch, and 2 snacks (am/pm) at no extra charge.  Our menus are posted weekly on the licensing board in the lobby hallway.  They have been written carefully to follow the nutritional guidelines of the CACFP* program and to offer a variety of delicious items.

*This institution is an equal opportunity provider.

Before and After School Care

We provide before and after school care for Kindergarten through 5th grade with transportation provided to and from local public and charter schools.  On days that those schools are closed, we do offer a complete full day program for an additional fee. In the summer we offer a comprehensive full day program including field trips.

Payments

We offer sibling discounts for customers paying in advance.  Payments are made weekly and we accept checks, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, debit cards and money orders.  We also accept D.E.S. childcare subsidies.

We also have a limited number of scholarships from Quality First for our families that qualify.
