About Us

 Ms. Ashley is the Director at Bright Star Preschool. She has been with us since July, 2014 and was previously at our sister school for 7 years.  Ms. Ashley has her degree in Early Childhood Education.  She has experience working with special needs children and all age groups. Ashley loves being able to love, nurture and support the children, teachers and families in our school.

Our Mission

To provide an outstanding Christian preschool program with convenient extended hours, using our academic, multi-experiential curriculum in a safe, clean, nurturing environment, while developing children from 4 weeks to 12 years of age into their full potential, and providing friendly customer service to families from Tucson, Marana, and Oro Valley.

It is our philosophy that early childhood should be a time of fun, warmth, security, exploring and discovery.  We will build upon each child’s interests and share the joy of their newly acquired skills, and increased awareness that comes with each day.  We recognize the special uniqueness of each child and will continuously strive to nurture and encourage your child’s individual creativity and self-expression.  Our goal is to offer a quality educational experience by developing the whole child: intellectually, socially, emotionally, physically, and spiritually; in a safe, clean and healthy environment.  Our friendly, experienced and trained teachers understand the special responsibility in providing quality care for each child entrusted to us.

Our History

Bright Star Preschool was opened in 2003 when Linda and her husband, Ron Kovacs purchased it from the previous owners.  Linda is the Executive Director and has been working in Early Childhood since 1988 with her start at Satori, a school for gifted children.  She has a strong desire to maintain a quality program where children can grow and develop in all areas and learn from excellent and well trained teachers.  Knowing how critical the birth to 6 years are, Linda strives for excellence in her programs, wanting the best for all children.
